In a true demonstration of collective effort and persistence at all times, Chivas Femenil played to a goalless draw against FC Juárez on Matchday 3 of the Clausura 2025. Despite being down a player in the second half, the Rojiblancas reached 4 points in the tournament.
While the match was evenly matched, it was Guadalajara who had the upper hand. Through combinations and transitions, Antonio Contreras' team came within a whisker of opening the scoring, but fortune was not on their side at the last touch. When down a man, the team never stopped running and closed the spaces to the rival until the point was secured.
The Rebaño Sagrado will have to turn the page quickly, as their next match will be on Tuesday, January 21, when they visit Cruz Azul at La Noria, in Matchday 4.
Dangerous games
-At 14' came the first for the Rebaño, with a great diagonal inside the area by 'Licha' Cervantes for Viridiana Salazar, who couldn't connect in a good way.At 20', a long-range shot by 'Caro' Jaramillo looked for the upper corner of Juarez's goal, although the ball opened up more than the score.-At 33', the 'Predator' tried to volley, after a great service from the 'Commander', but the ball went over.-ALMOST, 'DANY'! In the 34th minute, Delgado tried a mid-range shot from Delgado to clear the goalkeeper, who had a lot of trouble sending the ball for a corner kick.-A Salazar header alerted the visitors' goal at 37', although it was blocked by the goalkeeper.-What a play the Rebaño put together at 38'! A triangulation between 'Viri', Yamile and 'Caro' left the 'Comandante' alone in the box to shoot, but Holguin's diving save prevented Guadalajara's first goal.-BLANCA FÉLIX! At 44', the Rebaño keeper prevented Chilufya's goal with a spectacular save that she stopped with her legs at the last minute.- Cervantes almost scored the first at 54', when she turned inside the area and left-footed her shot before the goalkeeper's slapshot.-I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Once again 'Licha' at 56', headed against Holguin's backhand and the Rojiblanco goal was already in the air, but the post returned the ball to the goalkeeper.
