Cole Palmer’s ice-cold persona has earned him the nickname ‘Cold Palmer’ since signing for Chelsea.

Alongside his signature shiver celebration, Palmer’s cool has made the 22-year-old one of the Premier League’s poster boys. In December, Palmer broke the Premier League record for the most penalties scored without missing, before extending that record to 13 out of 13 spot-kicks in the division.

But he’s missed now.

Without a goal in his last six league appearances for Chelsea, Palmer’s luck was out again this afternoon.

Leicester’s Mads Hermansen has become the first Premier League goalkeeper to save a Palmer penalty, guessing right to keep out the midfielder’s effort at Stamford Bridge.

Perhaps Palmer is mortal after all…
