Derby County have rejected Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion’s bid for Eiran Cashin and the player is ‘categorically’ not for sale, according to the BBC.
The 23-year-old centre-back came through the Derby academy system and is a key part of Paul Warne’s starting line-up at Pride Park.
Cashin played an integral part in Derby’s promotion to the Championship last season and is now showing his skills in the second tier.
This season Cashin has captained the Rams on a few occasions and has featured 20 times for them in the league with five cautions.
The centre-back has attracted the attention of Premier League outfit Brighton with performances this season.
Brighton submitted a bid to Derby to secure the signature of Cashin in the ongoing window.
But the Rams have acted swiftly to reject Brighton’s offer as they consider the player not for sale in the ongoing window.
The decision to reject Brighton’s bid for the Derby star has come from the top at the club and the stance is that he is ‘categorically’ not for sale now.
Cashin has a contract with Derby until 2027 and it remains to be seen whether Brighton will go back with another bid for the defender.
