Inter Milan and Villarreal have reportedly agreed upon the final details for Tajon Buchanan.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Canadian is now on the cusp of joining the Spanish club on loan with an option to buy.
Tajon Buchanan switched from Club Brugge to Giuseppe Meazza last January for a reported fee of €7 million.
However, recurring injury problems and stiff competition for places have derailed his career in Serie A.
Manager Simone Inzaghi has finally run out of patience with the 25-year-old.
Villarreal will reportedly pay Inter €1m to sign Buchanan on loan for the rest of the season.
Furthermore, they’ll have a chance to buy him permanently in the summer for €13m.

It would see the Nerazzurri make a capital gain on Buchanan’s transfer, even though he failed to live up to the billing.
With the Canadian on his way out, Inter are in the market for replacements.
Roma’s Nicola Zalewski and Fiorentina’s Cristiano Biraghi have emerged as the most appreciated profiles.
