Double trouble for Arsenal and Man Utd this season

While the likes of Liverpool, Brentford and Brighton have three players in their ranks with double figures for Premier League goals this season, there are another group of teams whose top scorer is still shy of 10 goals - and Arsenal and Manchester United are among them.
The Gunners' lack of attacking options and cutting edge has become an increasing problem for their manager Mikel Arteta during the 2024/25 campaign, season-ending injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus compounding a dearth of options that has seen Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino deployed as a makeshift forward for much of the second half of the campaign.
Bukayo Saka missed considerable game time with a hamstring injury, which required surgery, and Havertz remains the north Londoners' top scorer with nine goals this season.
Arsenal's lack of a goal scorer undoubtedly harmed their league campaign, and the same can be said of four other teams who currently don't have a single player in double figures in the Premier League this term.
The first we'll mention, of that quartet, is bottom club Southampton who have struggled at both ends of the pitch all season.
The Saints' top scorer is Paul Onuachu with just four goals, the south coast side hitting just 25 goals in total during a horrendous 2024/25 campaign.
Also relegated, Leicester City's top scorer at the moment is soon-to-leave club legend Jamie Vardy with nine goals, while no Everton player has hit double figures yet in the Premier League.
Last, but by no means least, are Europa League finalists Manchester United.
Currently 16th in the Premier League, the Red Devils have been labelled by manager Ruben Amorim as"maybe the worst" United team in their 147-year history and they have certainly struggled in front of goal this season - Bruno Fernandes their top scorer with eight goals to his name.
