Enquiry Made: Manchester United make late transfer window move for Chelsea star

Manchester United have made a late transfer window enquiry for one Chelsea star this month as we enter the final week and a bit of the window.

It’s been very quiet really for Chelsea so far in terms of solid moves and in fact, we have not seen one single move outgoing or incoming for Chelsea yet. We did have the first Chelsea ‘here we go’ deal last week, with Renato Veiga set to join Juventus on loan. But other than that, nothing else has happened yet and nothing else seems particularly close.

Things can happen fast though of course, and Chelsea can certainly work a deal and get it done if they need to. But really, there is so much that they need to do to still complete this squad rebuild, that most of it now will have to wait until the summer, which is ridiculous by the way. What is also ridiculous is that they still have so much to do to complete the squad build.

Robert Sanchez needs to be sold as soon as possible, but he will now stay until the summer at least. For some reason Chelsea and Enzo Maresca have continued to back him, although they are now finally considering dropping him.

United in for Nkunku

Christopher Nkunku is another player linked with a move away from Chelsea this month, and maybe Manchester United can provide that outlet for him.

The Daily Mail report that Manchester United have asked about the possibility of Christopher Nkunku on loan from Chelsea.

They also say that news of United’s interest in him, which is seen as having an outside chance of materialising, comes as Chelsea are expected to bid for Alejandro Garnacho.
