Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has admitted that one of his players ‘is missing some chances’ in front of goal lately in some quotes released last night.

As part of the pre-match Chelsea match press conference for The Blues match against Wolves in the Premier League tonight, there have been more embargoed quotes released by the media.

Maresca will be hoping that his players do they only thing that they failed to do against Bournemouth in order to win the game, take more than just two of their many chances that they had in that game, tonight against Wolves.

Striker Nicolas Jackson was once again being criticised for missing some big chances in that game, despite having a very good overall game other than that.

But this is not the first time that Jackson has been called out for missing chances, and Maresca has also now admitted that Jackson is missing chances, but is also keen to pin the blame on others to come up with goals.

Maresca calls for more from his wingers

As part of his embargoed press conference from over the weekend, Maresca calls for more from his wingers.

He said:

“It’s not just Jackson, he’s missing some chances – but probably in terms of the wingers we could score more goals for the amount of times that we arrive and we put our wingers in one v ones inside the box like Pedro [Neto], like [Jadon] Sancho. Hopefully they can start to score more goals.”

In other news today

Enzo Maresca has opened the door for both Axel Disasi and Tosin Adarabioyo to leave the club in some contrasting words this weekend.

And he also confirmed that the club will not be using any option to recall either Lesley Ugochukwu or Andrey Santos despite needing reinforcements in midfield.
