Crystal Palace will face Aston Villa in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Oliver Glasner’s side eased past Fulham on Saturday to book their place at Wembley, and it is now Villa that stand between them and the FA Cup final on May 17.

Nottingham Forest, who beat Brighton penalties, will take on Manchester City in the other last-four clash.

The semi-final fixtures will be played across the weekend of Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 April.

Palace have never previously won the FA Cup, losing in a final replay in 1990 to Manchester United and then falling to the same opponents in the 2016 final.

They will take on seven-time winners Villa, who eased past Preston in the quarter-finals and are still competing on multiple fronts under Unai Emery heading into the final weeks of the campaign.

Villa have a Champions League quarter-final tie against PSG to look forward to, and sit only four points off Chelsea in the Premier League as the battle for European football looks set for a thrilling conclusion.

Forest are playing a leading role in that, sitting third in the table and well-set to secure a place in next season’s Champions League, and they will be dreaming of FA Cup glory to go with it.

The club have not won the competition since 1959 and have had to work incredibly hard to make it to the semi-final stage, needing a shootout to get past Exeter, Ipswich and then Brighton in the previous three rounds.
