AC Milan’s Primavera returned to winning ways on Matchday 9 with a 3-1 victory against Fiorentina’s Primavera, via goals from Tartaglia, Eletu and Perrucci.

Milan’s Primavera looks quite different this season, with several of last season’s stars departing for new pastures, or moving into the Futuro set-up. However, there are still some young gems remaining within the ranks, and they are gradually making a name for themselves.

For this evening’s game, they were without Max Ibrahimovic, who Milan News report is suffering with a hip injury, leaving him sidelined. Nevertheless, Federico Guidi still had Scotti and Stalmach available, with debutant Edoardo Tartaglia also being allowed to impress.

The hosts also named Rolando Mandragora in their side, who is still recovering from the injury which kept him out of the senior game against the Rossoneri earlier this season.

Within seven minutes, the youngster Tartaglia took his opportunity, opening the scoring and putting the Diavolo, deservedly, into the driving seat after some early pressure.

For Milan, that was about as good as it got in the first half, with the Primavera failing to make many more chances. However, the hosts had multiple chances to level the scoring – Mandragora coming closest from a free kick.

Whilst the Rossoneri doubled their lead within 10 minutes of the second half, the goal was ruled off-side, and just 15 minutes later, La Viola levelled the scoring through Caprini, who mazily dribbled through the defence before firing past Lapo Nava at the near post.

The game was not done there, though, and the Rossoneri once agian took the lead 10 minutes later through some brilliance from Victor Eletu. Then, in the dying embers of the game the Primavera put the game to bed as Vincenzo Perrucci scored to make it 3-1.

After a late collapse against Cremonese last time out, a return to victorious ways will be heavily appreciated by Guidi, whose subs were ultimately decisive.
