Former Blue Frank Leboeuf tore into Chelsea following their defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on Friday night.
Chelsea didn’t manage a single shot on target as they lost 3-0 to the Seagulls, making it two defeats to them in less than a week after being dumped out of the FA Cup last weekend.
The Blues were punished for terrible defending as Karou Mitoma scored a brilliant goal, whilst Yankuba Minteh bagged a brace.
It’s now two wins in their last nine league matches for Chelsea, and the Blues will drop out of the top four if results go against them this weekend.
Malo Gusto accused the Blues of lacking desire, which isn’t a good look for the squad, and Chelsea are currently in a rot they seemingly have no idea how to stop.
The players had to be told by assistant coach Willy Caballero to go and applaud the fans, which sums up the mentality in the squad currently.
Chelsea put in another abject performance against Brighton.
Chelsea’s current run is a far cry from the free flowing football they were playing earlier in the season, and Enzo Maresca is under pressure to sort things out, with the season unravelling fast.
Leboeuf wasn’t happy with what he saw and accused his former side of giving up and not knowing what to do in a damning assessment.
“I saw a team that gave up after the second goal, we didn’t want to fight and didn’t know what to do,” he told ESPN as cited on X.com.
“That was so bad and so unprofessional.”

Chelsea also suffered a blow with Noni Madueke suffering a hamstring injury, and things don’t get easier as the Blues travel to Aston Villa next weekend in desperate need of three points.
Maresca has a week to prepare for the Villa game and fans will be expecting a much better showing and at least a shot on target.
