GdS: ‘Conceicao wants Joao Felix’ – Chelsea forward an idea as Rashford stalls | OneFootball

AC Milan could add some high-profile names to the club in the January mercato, and with Marcus Rashford’s move stalled, other names are being considered.

Throughout the January mercato, it has seemed like Rashford would be the headline arrival to Milan. As time has passed though, it has seemed less likely. Despite the Rossoneri being willing to match his wages, there has not been a decision made yet.

With two weeks until the window closes, the Diavolo do not want to be left red-faced so they are looking elsewhere.

This morning’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) states that Milan are now looking to Chelsea’s Joao Felix instead.

Appreciated already

Felix’s career has been very up and down, especially since his mega-move to Atletico Madrid. Now at Chelsea, he is finding it difficult to find a space in the team, despite arriving in the summer, and the Rossoneri could offer a way out.

The attacker ‘tantalises’ the Milan management, and his profile is ‘ideal’ for the RedBird project – he is still young and has high quality, above all, the terms of his potential departure are favourable.

Conceicao is ‘convinced’ about adding Felix to his squad, given that he is a very versatile option. Additionally, he sees the out-of-favour talent’s potential still, despite it not being expressed recently.

Other possibilities

Jorge Mendes represents the player, and several of his clients have already been on the list for Milan this January, so this only helps the deal. A loan is the most probable option for now, however, a buy clause cannot be excluded.

In addition, his arrival would allow Kyle Walker to also join the Diavolo, which signing Rashford would not, so this is another consideration.
