La Liga giants Real Madrid could be helped in their efforts to land a key summer transfer target by a former member of the club’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Angelo Stiller as the player in question.

The name of Stuttgart standout Stiller has of course dominated the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid across the week to date.

This comes amid the understanding that the 24-year-old has been earmarked as a leading target on the part of new Blancos boss Xabi Alonso.

Amid an ongoing search for a player capable of controlling the tempo of games from the middle of the park, Stiller’s name has been circled in red.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Real’s efforts to land the German international could yet be aided by none other than Toni Kroos.

As per a report from AS:

‘The agency that represents Stiller, Sports360 GmbH, is the same one that managed Toni Kroos’ career, and where the German is now working alongside his longtime agent, Volker Struth.’

The Blancos legend, in turn, could yet play an important part in his former club landing a player whom many consider to be Kroos’ long-term replacement at the Santiago Bernabéu.
