Huddersfield Town boss Michael Duff feels that Manchester United Under-21s have some dangerous players with a real appetite to prove themselves.
Manchester United’s Under-21s side took on League One outfit Huddersfield Town in their EFL Trophy clash on Tuesday and suffered a 4-1 defeat.
The Red Devils youngsters failed to progress to the next round of the competition after finishing third in the table with five points from three games.
However, Duff praised Manchester United’s youngsters for their appetite to win the game and admitted that Travis Binnion’s side made Huddersfield’s players work hard.
The Huddersfield boss pointed out that Red Devils youngsters had only one shot, which Victor Musa took really well to convert into a goal and stressed that the Manchester United youth side have some dangerous players in their squad with real hunger.
“No one would have been happy at half-time”, Duff told Huddersfield Town TV.
“Well, granted, I think they had one shot in the game and they took it really well.
“They have some dangerous players.
“They were young and they had an appetite for the game.
“Our lads had to do a lot of running and looked pretty tired when they came off, which is non-negotiable when you walk off a football pitch after 90 minutes.”
Binnion’s side have now suffered back-to-back defeats and they will be looking to bounce back against Altrincham on Tuesday in the National League Cup.
