Ibrahimovic discusses Conceicao reaction and Milan’s Rashford interest | OneFootball

Ahead of Cagliari’s visit to AC Milan, the Rossoneri’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic discussed the reaction felt around the club because of Sergio Conceicao’s arrival and the Marcus Rashford rumours.

It has been an interesting start to 2025, mainly because the end of 2024 was so turbulent. Milan ended the year sacking their coach, before bringing in Conceicao. In the first few days of the new year, the club ended an almost 10-year Supercoppa Italiana drought.

The Portuguese was not brought in for the Supercoppa, though. The club’s and the new manager’s goals are much higher than a two-game tournament, and that has been regularly relayed.

Today, the Rossoneri will see how the new coach takes to Serie A, and if it is anything like the Supercoppa, San Siro should be in for a treat.

Before the game, Ibrahimovic spoke to Sky about things at the club, and Milan News relayed his words.

Did you expect this impact from Conceiçao? Regrets for not having called him earlier?

“We were looking for a reaction, to shock the team with the change of coach. The team has accepted Conceiçao’s way of working, it’s important. Now it’s important to continue, if we don’t continue the Super Cup is worth less.

I joined a club where the pressure is maximum, which is what I like. I am not afraid of these challenges, I am charged but I am humble. I have to grow, like everyone else.”

Milan on Rashford, is it confirmed? Have you spoken to the player to convince him? Will you do it?

“I know Rashford very well, I played with him when he was young. Now he is a man, he is confirmed as a great footballer. He is a Manchester player, I don’t know if it takes much to convince him, everyone wants to play for Milan. It is a difficult operation, we haven’t spoken to him yet. Let’s see if we can speak to each other.”

“I am always humble, when I lose and when I win. But when I play I am arrogant.”
