Simone Inzaghi has undeniably made Inter Milan his own, but the Champions League final against PSG could be a “last dance” for him.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Simone Inzaghi is now coming to the end of his fourth season as Inter coach.
When Inzaghi arrived in 2021, he had to inherit the legacy of Antonio Conte.
Despite the two coaches using a similar 3-5-2 formation at Inter, they focused on very different styles and principles of play.
Therefore, there was always going to be a bit of a transitional phase.
However, after four years, there is absolutely no doubt as to who built this Inter team.
Inzaghi has made the squad his own. And he’s implemented a system on the pitch that could hardly be confused with that of any other coach.

Inter failed to win the Champions League under Inzaghi in 2023.
However, the Nerazzurri have another huge chance to do so tomorrow evening.
If Inter are to get it over the line and beat PSG then it will be the climax of Inzaghi’s work as coach.
However, the Corriere notes, that could inspire Inzaghi to leave on a high note.
The Nerazzurri have an aging squad that will need a notable rebuild in the summer. There are doubts about whether Inzaghi really feels he’s the right coach to do that.
Therefore, the 49-year-old could decide that he’s finished his work if Inter do beat PSG tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in the background there is the mega money offer from Al-Hilal to tempt Inzaghi.
