Italian Journalist Confident ‘Inter Milan Will Be Very Busy This Summer’ – Predicts Two Key Transfer Market Goals

Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin says that Inter Milan will be “very busy” this summer.
Biasin spoke to “Chiamarsi Bomber,” via FCInter1908, explaining the reason for Inter’s quiet January and identifying two key priorities for the summer transfer window.
Over the last couple of transfer windows, Inter have done very little.
Last summer, there were a total of four signings. Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi bolstered the depth chart on free transfers, and Josep Martinez and Tomas Palacios arrived as options for the future.
Then in January, Inter loaned out Tajon Buchanan to Villarreal and replaced him with Nicola Zalewski.
The priority has evidently been to keep the core of Inter’s squad together.
In the summer of 2023, Inter had an absolute whirlwind of a transfer window. Twelve senior players left, and twelve came in to replace them.
But that led to Inter winning the Serie A title, and doing so in dominant fashion. Therefore, Inter’s priority clearly looks to be keeping that team together, at least for now.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin explained Inter’s lack of action in the January transfer window compared to rivals like Juventus and AC Milan.
“You don’t build teams in January,” Biasin said. “You build them in the summer.”

“Maybe in January you try to start building the team for the following season.”
“If you go all-out in January, it’s evidently because you failed the previous summer,” Biasin argued.
“There’s no mystery to Inter’s transfer window,” he continued.
“That is, if you’re wondering what will happen next summer, clearly, they’re going to be very busy next summer.”
“Because last summer the club directors decided to confirm the entire block of the squad that won the Scudetto,” Biasin noted. “Rightly or wrongly, we’ll find out.”
“Right now Inter are two points behind Napoli, and have qualified for the Champions League round of sixteen.”
“But next summer on the other hand, there will be many, many things happening,” Biasin predicted.
“Marotta and Ausilio already know that, first and foremost.”
“I could see a dozen transfers, between signings and exits,” Biasin anticipated. “Two or three players are already in their sights.”
“Because the objective is to lower the wage bill significantly,” he explained. “Currently it’s very high.”
“But above all, it’s to lower the average age of the squad,” Biasin noted.
“The average age is very high right now. So Inter will have a lot to do.”
“For that reason, this group is coming to an end,” Biasin said of the present Inter squad. “Because there will be some exits – indeed, a lot of them.”
