Kerolin Nicoli: It was fun to play! | OneFootball

Kerolin Nicoli says she and her City team-mates enjoyed the format of the World Sevens Football tournament after beating Rosengard 4-0 in our opening assignment.

The Brazil international struck twice in-between goals from Aoba Fujino and Aemu Oyama helped us to gain our first point of the seven-a-side competition.

Her first saw her collect the ball from a corner before dropping her shoulder and coolly dispatching into the bottom corner.

Kerolin Nicoli then doubled her personal tally in the second half when weaving into the Rosengard box and drilling low into the net.

And the skilful winger believes the tournament is a good chance to showcase her ability with the ball.

"It was fun to play and good weather which is good,” she said.

“I think we're here to enjoy and be ready for [the upcoming] games and everything. It's a good opportunity, this tournament, to come back, dribbling and have fun.

“I think it's about expressing myself and just enjoying the game and playing together with the girls on the team.

“When the moment to go one against one, try and see what happens.”

Next up for City at the World Sevens is a double header on Thursday first with Ajax before we lock horns with Bayern Munich, respectively.

For Kerolin Nicoli, she says her and her team-mates are taking it one game at a time as we look to secure passage into the knockout stage.

She added: “We have so much positivity, but it's just the first game. We're going to see the other teams and how they do and just enjoy."
