Head coach Dino Toppmöller assembled a total of 17 outfield players and four goalkeepers on the pitch today, including Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and Nnamdi Collins, back from their U20 national teams. With nine internationals – who were either in action on Monday or Tuesday evening – still absent, the training group was supplemented by youngsters from the youth teams for the start of preparations for the upcoming Bundesliga away match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. They included Marcel Wenig, Noah Fenyö and goalkeeper Amil Siljevic.

Robin Koch, who pulled out of the Germany squad because of hip problems, joined in with parts of the team session before moving indoors to the gym in the ProfiCamp. Oscar Højlund continued to work on his recovery from a metatarsal fracture, while Krisztián Lisztes trained individually.

Trip to the BayArena

There’s one session each day on the training plan until Friday, when it’s off to Leverkusen. Eintracht take on the Bundesliga champions at 15:30 CEST on Saturday 19 October.
