This, of course, comes fresh off the former playing his part in Barca securing their latest title.

Hansi Flick’s troops marked their return to action on Thursday evening, making the trip to city rivals Espanyol in the knowledge that an eventual victory would see them crowned Spanish champions once more.

And when all was said and done, this is precisely what the Blaugrana managed.

Owing to goals on the part of Lamine Yamal and Fermín López, Barcelona emerged from RCDE Stadium on the right side of a 2-0 result.

As much means that the Catalan heavyweights have secured the La Liga title for the 28th time in their storied history.

Young winger Lamine, meanwhile, has now officially been credited with two such trophies, after playing a minor role back in the 2022/23 campaign, too.

And this haul has since given rise to an altogether viral statistic.
