Liverpool will be watching the situation with Neymar very closely as twists and turns continue to happen at Al-Hilal. It could change their future.

The situation at every Saudi Pro League club is pretty interesting, but Al-Hilal takes the cake. They’re the biggest club in Saudi Arabia and have arguably the best player in the league, Neymar.

Only, he never plays. Neymar picked up a serious injury almost immediately after joining in 2023 and while he recently made a comeback, another injury will keep him out for up to eight weeks.

That’s brought about speculation that Neymar could see his contract terminated at Al-Hilal. There’s no point having him around if he can’t be the star attraction they want, after all.

The entire project is built on the idea of star players bringing eyes to the Saudi league. Neymar has instead just picked up enormous pay cheques for doing nothing.
