Manchester United’s Dan Gore is of interest to Blackburn Rovers this summer.
The 20 year old has had horrendous injury luck in the last two seasons whilst on loan to Port Vale and Rotherham United.
Despite an assist on his debut for The Millers at the start of February, he picked up a foot injury and had to return to United.
The youngster finally made only his second appearance yesterday, in a 1-1 draw with Stevenage.
It has been reported that United have run out of patience with the academy star and would be open to his sale this summer.
Blackburn Rovers look poised to take advantage of United’s changed outlook on the young midfielder.
X account, RoversXtra, have reported that “Blackburn Rovers hold serious interest in Manchester United youngster Daniel Gore.”
Nonetheless, it will not be easy for the Championship club, as they state that “Rovers are among a host of clubs looking to sign Gore on loan this summer.”
What could work in their favour however, is United’s stance on him.
It is reported that United are now “open to letting the 20-year-old leave on loan or a permanent transfer.”
The move would certainly be a huge opportunity for Gore, who has only played two senior matches all season.
What’s more, with midfield talents like Sekou Kone, Jack Moorhouse and Jack and Tyler Fletcher all in the academy, it is hard to see a pathway for Gore into the first team, especially with all the football he has missed in the last two years.
Transfermarkt claim that the player’s value is around €900,000 and this could be a useful injection of cash for the Red Devils.
In addition, a move to the Championship would be at a fantastic level for the youngster, who can finally go out and prove himself in a highly competitive league.
