Christopher Nkunku’s future at Chelsea is looking increasingly uncertain as top European clubs show interest in the forward. Graeme Bailey of TBR Football reports that the 27-year-old could leave Stamford Bridge as early as January, with his representatives exploring potential moves.

Since his £52 million transfer from RB Leipzig in 2023, Nkunku has struggled to secure a regular starting spot, fueling speculation about his next move.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has stated that Paris Saint-Germain is seriously considering a return to Ligue 1 for Nkunku, though no official bid has been made. Meanwhile, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has reported that Bayern Munich is keen to sign the forward immediately.

It’s claimed that Bayern Munich has reached a verbal agreement with Nkunku on a long-term contract, with all terms settled. The forward is reportedly eager to leave Stamford Bridge before the end of the January transfer window.

On Wednesday, TEAMtalk reported that Manchester United still hold interest in Nkunku ahead of deadline day next week. The report also states that the Frenchman is considering a move to Bayern and feels confident he can succeed in the Bundesliga, having previously thrived at RB Leipzig.

Nkunku is open to leaving Chelsea soon and is eager to join a club that will give him regular playing time, something Manchester United are willing to offer, per TEAMtalk.

The report also notes that Nkunku is keen on a possible move to Bayern and feels confident he can thrive in the Bundesliga, having already enjoyed success with his former club, RB Leipzig.

Last week, Sky Sports News mentioned that Manchester United are eyeing the French forward as a possible target to strengthen their attack this January, but it’s a complicated move if the Red Devils are asked to pay a straight fee.

“Christopher Nkunku is a potential target for Manchester United in this window,” Michael Bridge said. “Talks are understood to have been held between intermediaries about a move. Chelsea do not want to sell Nkunku, but it is thought they would be tempted to do business for £70 million. He is a player United are considering, but they are unlikely to meet the £70 million figure.”
