Whilst for Newcastle United in their last four games (all competitions) it is four wins out of four and 14 goals scored.

Newcastle winning all of their last three Premier League matches, scoring eleven goals and conceding none.

The only question now is, can Eddie Howe and his players press home this advantage in class and form at Old Trafford?

Manchester United fans giving their views ahead of the Newcastle United match, commenting via their Red Cafe message board:

‘They’re going to steamroll us. I’m going for a 4-0 win for them.’

‘I hope there is a massive scandal and football is canceled forever.’

‘0-2’

‘No chance for us in this one.’

‘Amorin’s first lineup without Bruno?? Can’t remember

Anyway it’ll be good to see something new.’

‘More points dropped.’

‘If Amorim thought United fans were edgy against Bournemouth… Old Trafford will be a graveyard.

Newcastle fans will enjoy themselves though.’

‘Newcastle have found form. While we’ve completely lost our way. Best we can do is a 0-0.’

‘No chance we keep a clean sheet. A corner is like a pen vs. us.’

‘They’re going to win this either way, so we should try something new, because the 3-4-3 obviously isn’t going to work with these players. Also since Bruno will be suspended it’s as good an opportunity as any to experiment with a system that doesn’t use him.’

‘A three nil home loss versus these b-words, who’ll be decked out in their Saudi kits.

The Regime will want the PR and, worse, there’ll be an endless slew of pro-Qatar types pontificating afterward.

A depressing s…show of the highest proportion.’

‘We should attempt four at the back, but absolutely not pick Yoro or Mainoo. Their performance tonight should never be tolerable.’

‘Can see United losing easily.

I think if Amorim can amend the midfield dropping Mainoo for Casemiro it helps how positionally disjointed the team is around the center.

As bad as some of the players are in not suiting the 3-4-3 system many of the current loses are living on poor team selection.’

‘Can’t be bothered.’

‘Can only see a proper rodding and the stadium half empty on the hour mark.’

‘Ugarte is suspended for this so we have Casemiro and Mainoo/Erison in the middle. Given we can’t score it’s how many Newcastle score. We are seriously f…ed this season.’

‘For the love of God, no Mainoo in midfield and no Maz at RWB.’

‘The next 3 games are all very likely comfortable defeats, maybe even an humiliation or two. Anything else is a bonus.’

‘Newcastle hitting a good stride, they will paste us. 1-4.’

‘Bruno being out helps us. Ugarte being out kills us.’

‘I expect nothing from us this match… I hate having to be so negative towards our club, but I genuinely don’t like any of our players(not named Amad, Mazraoui or Ugarte). There are so many thick and mentally(and physically for that matter) weak players.’

‘Newcastle off the back of 4 wins in a row having scored 14 goals and conceded 1. Man United three defeats in a row having conceded 9 goals against teams Newcastle are better than. Anything other that a home defeat will be surprise but is it too much to expect to least make Newcastle work hard to score instead of nodding off in a set piece or gifting a goal with individual error?’

‘Just forfeit in advance to save us from having to enduring another hammering.’

‘If we get turned over here 2/3-0 like everyone expects then where do we actually go? Anfield will be a nightmare. Not known United hit such lows in a long time. We just have to ride through it as things can improve very quickly, but there’s bad and then there’s being genuine relegation level. A result here would be welcome.’

‘Newcastle have hit form and are scoring plenty of goals.

They’re a tall, physically strong and pacy side.

They have players who can run with and make penetrating runs with the ball.

Their tails must be up and relishing at the prospect of their game with us.

I dread this fixture being the warm up act for Liverpool’s onslaught at Anfield.’

‘We are Manhesta Unied. BELIEVE!!!’

‘This looks like it could be another home battering.’

‘0-3… the whole club is a mess. wouldn’t surprise me if Amorim quit within six months.’

‘The Casemiro Mainoo midfield worries me, but no other alternative available.’

‘Onana De Ligt Maguire Martinez Dalot (RB) Antony (LB) Ugarte Cas Amad Hojlund Garnacho

I hope it’s this. We can win this.’

‘Ugarte is suspended.’

‘Jesus Christ! Our luck that our best midfield player is out suspended for this game.’

‘The first game we’re going to start Casemiro in about 6 PL games is against Newcastle and their XL bully Joelinton and those other hackers in there. Just our luck.’

‘I can’t see us not getting pumped. Mainoo will get bullied in midfield and Casemiro hasn’t got the legs to partner him.

Bruno/Joelinton/Tonali will dominate in the middle.’

‘And upfront they have Isak and Gordon.

I have debated with several posters recently who think that we are at least as good. Unbelievable.’

‘Bad time to play Newcastle. They are on a good run and scoring for fun as well.’

‘Games getting harder. These then Liverpool. What an awful run through Christmas we’ve had. To think how close we should be to the top 5. So annoying.’

‘We will lose the next 2 games. It will get worse before it gets better.’

‘We will somehow grab a draw here: 1-1.’

If we fear Newcastle, what will be our reaction against Pool in a week ??? IT WILL BE HORRIBLE

Don’t care about this game, season is over, we have to play the Europa League and avoid relegation battle.

Ineos has clearly to invest this winter to give us fresh blood and air while offloading some players.’

‘I’m clutching at straws if I’m being honest, our squad is terrible. I predict a 3-1 loss, we will get a goal somehow then concede a set piece and collapse as per.’

‘Wrong time to play them..

Their front 3 of – Murphy Isak Gordon is going to cause havoc.’

‘Another group of thugs who will try to make use of any kind of setpiece opportunity.

We will concede again from a setpiece.’

‘0-5 I think. I don’t expect we’ll score any goals and our current confidence level might mean the floodgates open wide.’

‘We are not good and they’re in form. I can’t see us winning. We are going to finish lower half and deserve to.’

‘Think this is the game that turns the fans on the players. They’ve been very patient, and previous narrative has been the ownership and ETH. Players have nowhere to hide now. I suspect when that third Newcastle goal hits the net Old Trafford gets vitriol.’

‘Why? We’re all expecting to lose.’

‘OT will be half-empty once they score their third.’

‘Amorim needs a big win here and the next 3 games can turn the season around.’

‘Stop doing this to yourself.’

‘We cannot play Martinez in this game. He will be roasted by Newcastle’s physicality.’

‘Oh, I’m absolutely expecting a 3-0 score with quickfire goals from Isak.

Just look at the number and kind of goals Newcastle have scored in their last few games, including the one against supposedly stingy Liverpool. They’ll cut straight through us.’

‘Casemiro, Eriksen and Mainoo as our midfield options is the big worry for me, no mobility at all. Brunos sending off couldn’t have come at a worse time with Ugarte suspended too.’

‘Yeah Guimaraes, Tonali and Joelinton will be licking their lips at the thought of facing that.’

‘Quite depressing that we genuinely go into this match as underdogs. Hopefully we can somehow spring a surprise and at least look a vaguely appealing option for new players in January.’

‘We are at home so the crowd should make it their business to help the team. It should be hostile for Newcastle whilst roaring and singing encouragement to get us going.
