Manchester United news: Manchester United’s season have ended with an open wound. Defeat to Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League final exposed the fragility of a project that seems more stagnant than growing. Fans had hoped for a different kind of closure, but the team was outclassed without response.
In addition, the club has been left out of the next Champions League, which exacerbates the climate at Old Trafford. The results not only reflect an uncomfortable sporting reality, but also condition structural decisions in the transfer market. As the noise grows, the spotlight is on the most important names in the dressing room.
According to Give Me Sport, the club have rejected any possibility of listening to offers for Bruno Fernandes, despite teams from Saudi Arabia showing interest in signing him this summer. The report claims that Manchester United consider the Portuguese to be untouchable, even in the face of the financial pressure of not playing in the Champions League.

Despite rumours of a possible sale of key players to fund a restructuring, the club insist on keeping the player. Fernandes has been one of the few consistent performers during the season and is seen internally as essential to any immediate recovery attempt.
The decision not to sell Bruno Fernandes is a wise one. In a team lacking a clear identity, he provides goals, assists and leadership. Losing him now would mean dismantling what little still holds the team together. He contributed 19 goals and as many assists, making him the most decisive player in the squad. Selling him at this point would send a message of surrender and weakness. Even if a generous offer were to come in, the sporting impact would be devastating for an already floundering team.
However, it is also worth looking at another angle. If the club chooses to start a long-term process with a thorough rebuild, this may be the last chance to get a significant financial return for a 30-year-old player. It is not just about talent, it is about vision. The decision must be aligned with a clear idea of the future, which for now seems absent in Manchester. Keeping Bruno may sustain the present, but without a solid plan around him, even that will not be enough.
