Manchester United XI vs Bournemouth – Predicted lineup and team news

Manchester United head to the south coast to face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim’s team are likely to have one eye on Thursday night, when the Red Devils take on Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semi-finals. Amid a disastrous domestic campaign, success in Europe could provide Amorim’s team with silverware and, crucially, Champions League qualification.
United are already guaranteed their lowest-ever Premier League points total, while the club are set to finish in the top-flight’s bottom half for the first time since 1990. With little to play for, Amorim’s team selection could be geared towards Thurday’s crunch clash.
Bournemouth, in contrast, have earned their highest-ever points total as a Premier League team. The Cherries will climb to eighth in the table with a win.
Diogo Dalot has this week joined a busy Manchester United treatment room. The full-back has sustained a calf issue that could curtail his campaign.
He joins Lisandro Martinez, Joshua Zirkzee, Toby Collyer, Ayden Heaven, Matthijs de Ligt and Amad Diallo on the sidelines. However, there’s positive news on the latter who should resume training next week. Diallo’s ankle injury was initially determined as as season-ending.
Amorim could hand chances to several academy products with Harry Amass set to continue at wing-back.
Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro; Dorgu, Ugarte, Fernandes, Amass; Mount, Garnacho; Hojlund.
Bournemouth host Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday 27th April 2025. Kick-off at the Vitality Stadium is 14:00 BST.
In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event.
