Aston Villa have quoted an asking price for one of their star men which has seen an interested club decide they will ‘not advance’.
Villa continue to have a number of players on the books at Villa Park who are attracting interest in the transfer window this month.
Unai Emery also wants additions and letting some players go may help that, with winger Jaden Philogene heading for Ipswich Town in a £21m deal.
Striker Jhon Duran is drawing interest and German giants Borussia Dortmund have even approached Aston Villa to ask about a deal.
Villa though told Dortmund that £85m would be needed for Duran and at that valuation the Germans ‘will not advance’, according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra.
Several sides continue to be keen on Duran, but few are able to afford his services.
He did come close to heading for West Ham United in the summer and it was a move the Colombian wanted to make.
The Hammers though, at that time under Julen Lopetegui, were not prepared to meet Aston Villa’s asking price.
