Real Madrid is set to play their final league match of the season at the Santiago Bernabeu, as they lock horns against Real Sociedad.

Even though Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez will stay with Los Blancos until the club’s World Cup, they, along with Carlo Ancelotti deserve an ovation to remember for their services to the club.

It will be interesting to see whether the Italian manager gives the impressive Gonzalo Garcia a chance to start with Kylian Mbappe up front instead of the other options available.

That being said, this is how Real Madrid can line up against Real Sociedad.

GK – Andriy Lunin

The Ukrainian has not gotten frequent starts like he did last season, but has been impressive when he has. 3 clean sheets in 6 league fixtures and 5 in the 13 matches played this season.

RB – Lucas Vazquez

Perhaps a player that will be soon forgotten, but his sacrifice won’t. He started his career as a right winger, however, circumstances led him to be a full-back – something which wasn’t his specialty. Despite this, he gave it his all for the badge, and hopefully, the fans pay him his respects in today’s match.

CB – Raul Asencio

Makes a return to the side after missing out against Sevilla due to an injury. Even though the last few months have been quiet, the Spaniard has cemented his place in the side for years to come.

CB – Aurelien Tchouameni

The Frenchman has turned his season around since January and has been a mainstay in the team thereafter.

LB – Fran Garcia

His future is still up in the air, but the Spaniard has stepped up in situations and has thoroughly improved his defensive acumen as well.

CM – Fede Valverde

He has been reportedly playing with an injury for quite some time, so after tonight, the Uruguayan will receive a well-deserved break.

CM – Luka Modric

From being termed the worst signing in 2012 to not only leaving Madrid as a club legend but as one of the legends in world football. The Croatian will step onto the Bernabeu pitch for one last time to orchestrate the midfield he has made his own during this time.

CM – Dani Ceballos

His return from injury hasn’t been a pleasant one, because he began the season in a promising fashion, but he will be eager to start this season on a high.

CAM – Arda Guler

The youngster finally got some well-deserved chances and stepped up on important occasions. He is expected to get more minutes under Xabi. Guler would also be eager to give Ancelotti a send-off gift.

ST – Kylian Mbappe

29 league goals, 42 overall – just disappointing that Madrid was not able to win any major trophies, otherwise he would have been in contention for the Ballon d’Or. However, this is just the start, and expect next season’s Mbappe to be lethal

ST – Vinicius Junior

He was a late addition to the match squad. Ancelotti is responsible for turning him into the beast that he is today (regardless of how the current season transpired). Even though they will meet in Brazilian colors, Vini would be eager to thank the Italian on the pitch tonight.
