After the match, Müller expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception from the fans.

“What happened after the match in front of the supporters’ stand shows just how strong the mutual appreciation is. I’m someone who values positive emotions,” he said.

“Today was a great way to end the season. I really feel the appreciation towards me - and honestly, there’s nothing better than that.”

Müller also reflected on Bayern’s late push to hit the 100-goal mark in the Bundesliga this season. They ultimately fell just short, finishing on 99 goals.

“We were always looking for chances, and I wanted to send a clear signal that we were still aiming to score more goals. We almost managed to get our 100th goal of the season, but in the end, we’re not playing for records - even though, of course, you want to reach them when you're that close.”

Müller retires from Bundesliga duty with an incredible 503 appearances, tallying 150 goals and 211 assists for Bayern.

He will remain with the squad for the upcoming Club World Cup before officially ending his 25-year journey with the club.

His next move remains uncertain, but Müller appears eager to continue his playing career.
