Four Napoli first-team players are expected to be unavailable for their final match of the 2024-25 season, at home against Cagliari on Friday night, which will result in a second Serie A title in three years if the Partenopei rise to victory at the Maradona.

Napoli are one point above second-placed Inter heading into the final round of 2024-25 Serie A fixtures.

A win will secure the Scudetto for Antonio Conte and his side. A draw will leave the Partenopei requiring a favour from Como in their match against the Nerazzurri, which also kicks off at 19.45 BST on Friday.

Stanislav Lobotka, who has started in every league game he has been available for this season, is one of the biggest doubts ahead of the Napoli-Cagliari decider on Friday.

He has not appeared since picking up an ankle injury which forced him off after just 13 minutes of a 2-2 draw against Genoa in round 36. He did not travel for the 0-0 draw against Parma last time out and is also a major doubt for Cagliari, with Billy Gilmour ready to replace him again.

Gilmour is set to line up alongside his Scotland international teammate Scott McTominay and fellow former Premier League midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

Italy international Alessandro Buongiorno is also expected to be unavailable against Cagliari, having missed the last three matches with an adductor injury.

He adds to an injury list that includes fellow centre-back Juan Jesus and Milan loanee Noah Okafor, who has played for just 36 minutes across four appearances in Serie A since joining the Partenopei in the January transfer window.

With no major changes on Napoli’s injury list, Conte is highly likely to stick with the same starting XI that drew 0-0 with Parma last time out.
