AS Monaco have been in the market for a midfielder throughout the window and have finally got their man on deadline day. Al-Musrati (28) has joined the Principality club from Besiktas on loan until the end of the season.

The likes of Éric Juinor Dina Ebimbe and Jordan Henderson have been targeted with Adi Hütter confirming Les Monégasques’ desire to get an “experienced midfielder” through the door. With Henderson remaining at Ajax, a move for Al-Musrati has been in the pipeline.

The Libyan midfielder has joined on a loan deal until the end of the season. Monaco will pay €1m for the loan, whilst there is an option to make the move permanent for €8m at the end of the campaign, Get French Football News understands. The defensive midfielder had played 25 games for Besiktas this season, including six in the UEFA Europa League. He is the second – and almost certainly final – signing of the window for Monaco, who brought in Mika Biereth in January.
