Kylian Mbappe has now capped off a sensational debut season at Real Madrid by winning the 2025 European Golden Boot.

The French striker netted 31 goals in La Liga, making him the top scorer across Europe’s top five leagues.

It’s a remarkable achievement for Mbappe, who not only adapted seamlessly to life in Spain but also thrived under pressure.

Despite Real Madrid dealing with numerous injuries throughout the season, the 25-year-old carried the team’s attack with consistency and quality. His 31 league goals earned him 62 points in the Golden Boot ranking — enough to outscore all other contenders.

Portuguese league top scorer Viktor Gyökeres may have scored 39 goals, but the lower coefficient of Liga Portugal (1.5 compared to La Liga’s 2.0) saw him fall behind in points.

Mohamed Salah was also in contention late into the campaign, but the Liverpool star was unable to bridge the gap in the final matchday.

This is Mbappé’s first Golden Boot win, placing him alongside Real Madrid legends like Hugo Sanchez and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the few players from the club to win this award.

Beyond La Liga, Mbappé finished the season with 42 goals in all competitions, proving to be the defining figure in Real Madrid’s campaign.
