La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday announced a fresh injury setback in the club’s first-team squad.

This comes amid confirmation that Andriy Lunin has been ruled out of Los Blancos’ next outing.

Real Madrid are primed to return to action later today, when they welcome RCD Mallorca to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff head into the matchup with a heavily limited squad of players at their disposal, owing to a whole host of injury problems.

And as alluded to above, mere hours out from the fixture being kicked into gear, such woes have only continued to mount.

As per a statement across Real’s website and social media platforms:

‘Andriy Lunin has been ruled out of today’s squad for the match against Real Mallorca (9:30pm CEST) due to a contusion to his right hand sustained during yesterday’s training session. Fran González has been called up to replace him.’
