The squad of players called upon by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick to face Atlético Madrid later today has been unveiled online.

And it features one altogether noteworthy omission.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action on Sunday night, in a crunch showdown amid the ongoing battle for the La Liga title.

Shifting attentions back towards domestic matters after a midweek Champions League victory over Benfica, the Blaugrana have made the trip to Spain’s capital, for a meeting with Diego Simeone’s Atlético.

Barca head into the matchup in the knowledge that, in the case of emerging triumphant, they will reclaim leadership in La Liga, whilst boasting a game in hand over Real Madrid.

In turn, it should come as no surprise to hear of Hansi Flick calling upon an altogether strong squad of players.

As much is showcased below, featuring the likes of Alejandro Balde, Pedri, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.

The one glaring absence comes in the form of Ansu Fati, who, after being recalled to matchday duties over recent weeks, has today been dropped once more:
