Osasuna star Ante Budimir on Saturday secured for himself a piece of club history.

This comes owing to his exploits in the club’s latest outing.

Osasuna welcomed table-topping Real Madrid to El Sadar on Saturday afternoon, for a La Liga clash.

And, when all was said and done, the Rojillos battled their way to an altogether credible share of the spoils, in a drama-filled 1-1 draw.

After Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring in Pamplona, it was the aforementioned Ante Budimir who proved himself decisive in securing a point for Osasuna.

Stepping up to the penalty spot just shy of the hour mark, frontman Budimir slotted beyond Thibaut Courtois with minimal fuss.

And, in the process, the Croatian veteran etched his name firmly into the history books of his club.

As revealed by statisticians Opta, Budimir has joined Sabino Andonegui as Osasuna’s all-time top scorer in La Liga, with 57 goals.
