Man City have produced some spine-tingling moments in the Premier League's recent history that defined the club's most successful period.

That Agüero strike to seal the 2011/12 title lives long in the memory of City fans and provided the Premier League with one of its greatest ever highlights.

However, few may remember the five-match winning run leading up to that special 3-2 win at the Etihad Stadium over QPR, which led the Citizens to their first top-flight title since 1968.

In the previous game, City were heading towards a 0-0 draw at Newcastle before Yaya Touré rifled in to break the deadlock and added a second to lead Roberto Mancini's side to a critical 2-0 win.

Fast forward seven years and City were jostling at the top of the table with Liverpool and, once again, were goalless edging into the latter stages in a home clash against Leicester.

After dominating the game and failing to convert several prior chances, former club captain Vincent Kompany received the ball 30 yards out and opted for the more direct route, unleashing an unstoppable strike into the top corner.

Kompany's outrageous finish ultimately proved decisive as Pep Guardiola's side eventually edged Liverpool to the 2018/19 title by one point.
