·7 avril 2025
It is a historical match for the Rossoneri Primavera: on Wednesday 9 April at 15:00 CEST, at the Civica Gianni Brera Arena in Milan, Guidi's side will face Cagliari in the Coppa Italia Primavera Final. It is a competition that we have won two times in history in 1985 with Fabio Capello in charge, and in 2010 with Giovanni Stroppa (the final was at San Siro, against Palermo). On this special day, all fans can enter the stadium for free. It is an important match and the boys will have to react after consecutive league defeats against Sampdori and Cesena. The opportunity is there, the prize for getting back to winning ways will be a trophy that we haven't won in 15 years.
The Rossoneri go into the game after beating Genoa in the Round of 16 in a penalty shootout, Inter in the quarter-finals and Lecce in the semi-final with Filippo Scotti scoring the winning goal. He is also the Rossoneri with twelve goals in total (ten in the league, one in the cup and one in the Youth League). It has been an important run for the Rossoneri, and now they need to take the final step.
Trying to stop us will be Cagliari, managed by ex Serie A player Fabio Pisacana. They are a team with plenty of experience this season and we have already played them in the league: the Rossoneri won at the PUMA House of Football (2-0), and then we drew 1-1 in Sardinia. It will be a balanced and difficult team which is why we will need plenty of support from our fans: we are looking forward to seeing you at the Arena, free entry!
