La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Tuesday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Aitor Ruibal is set for an incoming spell on the treatment table.
Versatile winger/defender Aitor has played an important role for Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis over the early months of the campaign.
The 28-year-old has featured in all 11 of the Verdiblancos’ La Liga fixtures, six from the off, chipping in with an assist along the way.
Just this past weekend, Aitor stood out as arguably the game’s standout performer, en route to Real Betis’ hard-fought downing of Atlético Madrid.
Safe to say, then, that it will come as a blow for all associated with the club to hear that the Spaniard has added to the lengthy absentee list in Heliopolis.
As per a statement across Betis’ website and social media platforms on Tuesday:
“Following the assessment and tests carried out by the Club’s medical services on our player Aitor Ruibal, it has been confirmed that the player has a low-grade myotendinous injury in the femoral biceps of his right leg. The recovery period is pending development.”
