The outlet mentions that the 23-year-old sees Real Madrid as his top destination, even preferring them over clubs in the Premier League.

Earlier this year, there were discussions between the two clubs during the spring and summer transfer windows. At that time, Real Madrid decided against signing a right-back.

Frimpong had an exit clause that would allow him to transfer for a fee of €40 million, which remains valid until the summer of 2025, but it does not apply for a January transfer.

Should a transfer occur in January, the fee would be negotiable, and Bayer Leverkusen would need to approve any deal.
