Real Madrid have been far from perfect when it comes to their performances in the Champions League this season.

The club’s ongoing injury crisis, coupled with a tight schedule saw them finish the league stage in 11th position, with five wins in eight matches.

However, Los Blancos showed their mettle last month by beating English champions Real Madrid in the knockout playoffs – a result that helped them secure a berth in the Round of 16.

Aside from prestige, the win over Man City also helped Real Madrid add more revenue to their coffers.

How much have Real Madrid earned from UCL?

As reported by AS, the reigning champions have accumulated a total of €49.7 million in revenue so far, placing them tenth in the competition’s earnings rankings.

Real Madrid’s participation in the Champions League alone secured them €18.62 million. Their five victories in the league phase added another €10.5 million to the total.

However, finishing eleventh in the overall league standings meant that they earned only €7.15 million from that position, a figure significantly lower than some of their direct competitor, including Barcelona.

An additional €1 million bonus was awarded for placing between ninth and sixteenth in the table. Most recently, their qualification for the Round of 16 saw them earn another €11 million.

With a total of €49.7 million, it is clear that Real Madrid have not been among the top earners in the Champions League so far this season, especially considering the fact that Barcelona stand second with a total earnings of €55 million.

However, Real Madrid have ample time to right the wrongs. If the club continue to blaze their way through to the knockout rounds and reach the finals like last time, they can easily reach the magic figure of €100 million.
