The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, and highlights Éder Militão as the player in question.

Stopper Militão has for his part of course been sidelined since back in early November last year.

This comes after the Brazilian, just over a year on from suffering a ruptured ACL in his left knee, was condemned to another lengthy spell out of action by way of the same injury in his right knee.

Originally, the plan was for Militão to aim for a return to competitive action at the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, however, then the 27-year-old could in fact be back much sooner.

As per a report from AS, Militão is ramping up his recovery efforts, ready to return to the grass and begin working with the ball on the back of the international break.

It is in turn concluded that:

‘Real Madrid are optimistic and hope he can at least be in the first-team dynamic for the final stretch of the season, which in this case runs until mid-July due to the Club World Cup.’
