Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Saturday night taken to social media, to send a message of congratulations the way of former employers Paris Saint-Germain.

This, of course, comes fresh off an evening to remember for PSG on the continent.

After making the trip to Munich for a Champions League final showdown with Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan, Luis Enrique’s troops ran riot, to the tune of an eventual 5-0 triumph.

PSG’s first-ever crown on the biggest stage of European football comes just a year on from the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé departing the club, to link up with Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The online backlash against the 26-year-old, in turn, has since been as swift as it has ruthless, as fans of the likes of Barcelona and PSG themselves make full use of the opportunity to poke fun at Mbappé.

As alluded to above, though, this has not stopped the attacker himself from paying his respects to his former club.

In a post on his official Instagram account late on Saturday evening, Mbappé unveiled a photo of the Champions League trophy, accompanied by the caption:

‘The big day has finally arrived, victory and in the style of an entire club. Congratulations PSG’
