Dani Carvajal, a long-standing defender for Real Madrid, has made it clear that if he ever leaves the club, he will not continue his career in Europe.

He explained that he would never play against Real Madrid, whether in the UEFA Champions League or any other European competition.

The veteran defender’s commitment to the club is unquestioned, and he has no desire to face his current team after his departure.

“If I ever leave Real Madrid, I will not play in Europe. I will not compete against Real Madrid in the Champions League or in Spain,” he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Joselu is waiting for him

Carvajal shared that he had a conversation with former Real Madrid forward Joselu, who now plays in the Qatar Stars League for Al Gharafa. Joselu told Carvajal that he is waiting for him in Qatar, offering him a spot in the team.

“Joselu tells me: I’m waiting for you here. I’m saving the RB spot for you,” he added.

Carvajal seems to be considering the idea of finishing his career in Qatar, a decision he has openly discussed in recent times. Currently, he is dealing with a season-long ACL injury, which he is working hard to recover from.

He has stated that he is targeting a return to the pitch during the FIFA Club World Cup, a significant competition that could mark his comeback.

What about his contract?

His contract with Real Madrid runs until 2026, but the future remains uncertain. Much will depend on his performances in the next season.

If Carvajal can return to his previous form after recovering from his injury, it will play a crucial role in determining whether he stays at Real Madrid or eventually moves to a different league, with Qatar being a potential destination.

At this stage, Carvajal’s loyalty to Real Madrid is clear, but his future beyond his contract is still open for discussion.
