Real Madrid take on Real Mallorca in La Liga tonight aiming to keep alive the title race.
The Spanish champions are seven points behind Barcelona following their El Clasico defeat at the weekend, with just three games to. Barcelona will be crowned champions if the Catalans win at Espanyol tomorrow night, though Real Madrid will want to avoid handing their arch-rivals an early coronation this evening.
Carlo Ancelotti’s exit as head coach was confirmed this week, with the Italian set to take charge of Brazil. Xabi Alonso has agreed a deal to replace Ancelotti at the Bernabeu.
Mallorca arrive in the capital still chasing European qualification. A positive result tonight would take the island club into a Europa Conference League spot.
Carlo Ancelotti’s defensive options remain depleted with Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal all ruled out.
Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez are also set to miss out against Mallorca after sustaining ankle and thigh injuries respectively during the defeat to Barcelona.
Eduardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy add to a packed treatment room, while Aurelien Tchouameni is suspended. The French midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the season at the weekend.
Rodrygo’s involvement is also unclear. The Brazilian has missed the last two games through illness, while rumours persist that the winger is unsettled in Spain.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Ramon, Garcia; Modric, Ceballos; Guler, Bellingham, Mbappe; Endrick
