Real Madrid make the trip to England to take on Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals tonight.
The holders head to North London aiming to secure a positive first-leg result. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are aiming to defend the trophy and reach the semi-finals for the fifth straight season.
Los Blancos remain in the hunt for a treble this season, but suffered a setback in La Liga after losing at home to a resurgent Valencia at the weekend. Real Madrid also face a Copa del Rey final against Barcelona later this month.
Arsenal also failed to win at the weekend, after being held at Everton. The Gunners are second in the Premier League table, 11 points behind leaders Liverpool.
The major talking point for Real Madrid was the decision by UEFA not to punish Kylian Mbappe, Dani Ceballos, Antonio Rudiger and Vinicius Junior for their celebrations after the last-16 win over Atletico Madrid. All are available to face Arsenal after escaping with fines following the investigation.
Thibaut Courtois has been passed fit in a big boost to the Spanish champions, while Ferland Mendy is also expected to be available after a muscular issue. Real Madrid will be without Aurelien Tchouameni who is banned for one game after an accumulation of yellow cards.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Rudiger, Mendy; Valverde, Camavinga; Rodrygo, Bellingham, Vinicius Jr; Mbappe.
Arsenal face Real Madrid in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday April 8th 2025. Kick-off at the Emirates is 20:00 BST.
The Arsenal v Real Madrid game will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
