Inter Milan have received a crucial fitness boost ahead of Saturday’s clash against Torino, with Lautaro Martinez fit to feature.

According to Sky Sport, as reported by FCInter1908, the 2024 Copa America winner has overcome a minor issue he felt toward the end of Tuesday’s fixture against Red Star Belgrade.

Lautaro Martinez scored off the bench in Inter’s 4-0 home triumph against the perennial Serbian champions.

However, the Argentine superstar handed Simone Inzaghi a late injury scare.

As the match approached the business end, Martinez seemed in discomfort after being on the receiving end of a harsh tackle.

The 27-year-old found his first European goal this term and drew a penalty, subsequently converted by Mehdi Taremi.

But it looked like he picked up a knock in the process.

Fortunately for Inter, Martinez joined his teammates in Appiano Gentile this morning for a regular training session.

That means he will be fit for Torino’s visit to Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday.

It would’ve been a shame had Inter lost their most prolific player at this point.

Seemingly unfazed by a slow start, the former Racing Club striker is firing on all cylinders again.

He inspired Inter to a hard-fought 3-2 win against Udinese last weekend, tallying a brace at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Inzaghi’s talismanic forward then needed only seven minutes on the field to score against Red Star.

Martinez’s return to form is just what the doctor ordered for Inter.

Indeed, the reigning Scudetto holders have already dropped seven points in the first six Serie A rounds.

But with Martinez back at his best, it’s only natural to assume Inter will launch a substantial winning streak.

Nothing less would do this season, with Juventus, Napoli, and Milan desperate to dethrone Inzaghi’s team.
