Report: Arsenal targeting Aston Villa striker Duran | OneFootball

Arsenal are reportedly interested in bringing Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran to the club.

A report in AS Colombia claims that both Arsenal and Barcelona have asked about the 20-year-old.

The striker has scored six goals in 11 games in all competitions this season despite being limited to a role largely off the bench.

Chelsea have also been previously heavily linked with the Colombian forward in the past.

The report also claims he would cost at least £75m to sign, however.

Speaking about the summer interest in Duran, Villa sporting director Monchi previously told Sky Italia: “We have two very strong strikers, him and Watkins.

“Duran wanted to play more minutes, and we needed to sell a player due to FFP, but without an important offer we were convinced he would stay here.

“Emery has a lot of faith in him: some offers have arrived, there were meetings, but the amount we asked for did not arrive.”
