With Mohamed Salah still a crucial figure but approaching the twilight of his Liverpool career, there is a need to plan for the future – and securing a young, elite-level forward now could be the perfect step.

However, there are concerns. Sesko’s preference for a London move may make this pursuit more difficult, and if Arsenal or Chelsea step up their efforts, Liverpool could face an uphill battle.
