According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roberto De Zerbi has emerged as the favourite to take over from Sérgio Conceição at AC Milan.

The Italian outlet writes that Conceição looks unlikely to remain as head coach past the end of this season, even if he is able to bring Milan silverware in the Coppa Italia. After two foreign coaches, I Rossoneri want to return to an Italian manager.

De Zerbi’s agent is reported to have met with Fabio Paratici in Milan, with the former Tottenham Hotspur executive likely to become Milan’s new sporting director at the end of the season.
