Ruben Amorim says he does not feel the pressure when Manchester United play in front of their home fans at Old Trafford despite his side’s poor form.
The Red Devils have won just one of their last seven home outings in the Premier League, which came against bottom dwellers Southampton, as the Portuguese struggles to get a tune out of the team.
Speaking ahead of Man Utd‘s meeting with Ipswich Town at the venue on Wednesday night, Amorim says the loyal support of the fans has created a non-pressurised environment for the manager.
“Since I arrived, when I took the job, I expected to win all the games at home. You have that feeling,” he said.
“I don’t feel the pressure. The supporters at Old Trafford are amazing, you feel that every time you go there, you feel the support. Until the end.
“Sometimes you have one play in one half and you feel the supporters want this so bad. So I don’t feel the pressure, we have to stop thinking about the last games. It’s a new game, it can be a new story. So let’s forward to play the game.”
