AC Milan legend and former Italy international, Massimo Ambrosini, has been talking about Sandro Tonali.
The Newcastle United midfielder is of course a massive ongoing story in Italy.
Serie A is not used at all to losing it’s very best homegrown young stars to clubs abroad, when they have the best years of their careers ahead of them.
The 10 months suspension brought of course huge media interest in Italy and amongst football fans over there.
However, his return to playing at Newcastle United has created plenty of headlines and then you have his excellent form for Italy since returning, starting all five internationals.
After his man of the match performance and scoring the winner against Belgium in midweek, former Italy international and AC Milan legend, Massimo Ambrosini, has spoken of Sandro Tonali in glowing terms.
He thinks the midfielder has improved further, that he is even better than when playing for AC Milan. High praise indeed, seen as Sandro Tonali was so key to AC Milan winning Serie A and reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League at such an early age.
Massimo Ambrosini talking to Radio Serie A about Sandro Tonali:
“From the point of view of physical presence, of impact, Sandro Tonali is now putting in something more than he did at AC Milan.
“But I would like to see him even more involved in games.
“In my opinion, he has a chance to make more of an impact from the point of view of building, of touching the ball.
